Doula Services
What Is a Doula?
A doula is a trained, non-medical support professional who provides emotional, physical, and educational support to individuals and families before, during, and after pregnancy and childbirth. In a nonprofit setting, doulas help reduce barriers to care, promote positive birth experiences, and support healthy outcomes for parents and babies—especially in underserved communities.
Doulas do NOT provide medical care or clinical services. Instead, they work alongside healthcare providers to ensure families feel informed, supported, and respected throughout their perinatal journey.
